Testimonials

At Parklands Lodge, our residents and their loved ones come first. We love to hear from residents, their friends and family about their experience at our homes.

My mother went to live at Parklands just before lockdown after spending three months in hospital following a severe stroke that has left her with significant nursing care needs. This meant that we had very little time (four days) to ensure she was settled before we were no longer able to visit. During those initial four days, it was apparent that Parklands were planning and putting significant practical workable policies in place to manage the Coronavirus threat. This along with the warm personal welcome both my Mum and ourselves received under very difficult circumstances gave me confidence that my Mum would be well cared for. The atmosphere in the home appeared caring, relaxed and happy. During the lockdown, Parklands have kept in touch with ourselves with phone calls and Facebook pictures of my Mum. They regularly post pictures on Facebook of the activities that the residents are taking part in, which look engaging and appropriate.

The lodge is very modern and clean with lovely furniture and views to gardens through large windows. I know my father is being looked after by the best staff, everyone from reception to kitchen and cleaning look like they enjoy working there, and that is reflected in the photographs and videos I see on social media almost daily. Excellent work!

Parklands is a welcoming, happy place. The staff are all helpful and friendly. The residents are looked after with friendliness and compassion and dignity. All the staff notice if someone needs an extra friendly word or some comforting. The food is excellent - beautifully prepared and served. The staff know the residents and look after her well - all staff.
